Dona Sarkar announced late yesterday that Build 16288 was being released for Windows Insiders on the Fast Ring. The build addresses some stability improvements and fixes as the Windows team ramps up for the official release of the Fall Creators Update.
However, this build appears to have been released a little too soon as many Insiders (myself included) are being met with the following message during Windows Update:
Multiple system reboots, running Windows Update Troubleshooter and deleting the Software Distribution so far has yielded no improvements. Anyone successfully updating to this build in the United States or anywhere else at this point?
Update 09/13/17 1:39PM EST
According to Dona Sarkar's latest tweet a fix is coming for the above issue:
"#WindowsInsiders who are seeing the "can't update" error from yesterday. Our fix is rolling out. Please give it till 5 pm PST today."
